Anchorage & Camping Area
The most common winds at this time of the year are from the SE, we have found anchoring up on the northern end of the small headland to be a great option. There is a small lagoon which is accessible at high tide. Bear in mind that if you leave your boat in the lagoon that you might not be able to get it out until the next high tide.
It is important to camp in the official camping area which is signed and on the southern end of the headland. Make sure to use a navigation app like Navionics around Hervey Bay / Platypus Bay as there is a lot of shallow sandbars and reefs.

Questions & Answers
At the stage we plan to run the competition on the Sunday.
No there is no requirement to compete. It will just be a great fun weekend with the squad.
You will need to organise your own transport (whether by boat or taking the ferry with a 4WD). We would suggest getting a group together with a boat owner and going with them. Some people may want to just come for the competition day.
No, the club is paying for our camping fees, you will just need to pay the competition fee (if competing)
Please make sure to bring everything you would normally on an Island camping weekend: Sleeping bags, shelter (if not staying at the huts), Food, Water, etc
The club has only booked Sat night camping at this stage, so if you want to come for the friday please organise this seperately.
